‘Liz’ had playing spells at Llanwern and Croesyceiliog before joining Panteg in August 2002, becoming a regular first team striker in the following seasons.

He first stepped onto the Committee in 2006 as the Players’ Representative.

At the start of the 2007/08 season he became joint manager of the reserve team and following some impressive performances was promoted to take charge of the first team in October 2007.
